There is a reason why I never leave home without a camera even when I just step out to feed my horses. Five minutes later the sun was down below the mountains.
Every year I am looking forward to the end of January. When the Moon, Venus and Neptune line up in the sky they seem to cause these amazing morning colors. I have taken many pictures over the years on that same day, but it was the most intense this morning.
Another storm has swept through the Wallowa Mountains leaving only a few inches of new snow on the Lower Alder Slope outside of Enterprise.
Maybe not as breathtaking of a picture as some of the previous ones, but still the feeling of being close to the heavens never goes away when I stand outside inhaling the solitude of peace while feeding my horses early in the morning.
What can be more beautiful than stepping outside this morning feeding horses while God paints the heavens over Mt Joseph and Mt. Howard? Nothing… Another incredible day to be alive in God’s backyard and paradise.
Feeding in divine silence. The massive wind storm has passed and the air is filled with crisp, renewed energy.
What can I say… 1 degree right after 7 am feeding my horses in God’s backyard while he is painting the heavens!!!
