There is a reason why I never leave home without a camera even when I just step out to feed my horses. Five minutes later the sun was down below the mountains.
Every year I am looking forward to the end of January. When the Moon, Venus and Neptune line up in the sky they seem to cause these amazing morning colors. I have taken many pictures over the years on that same day, but it was the most intense this morning.
Still early in the morning, I can see the fog slowly rolling in at Highview Angus Ranch giving me enough time to capture these pictures.
Zero degrees on the Lower Alder Slope at Highview Angus Ranch this morning, January 15, 2020. Regardless of the temperature its time to feed my horses, so here I go bundled up and never without a camera in my back pocket.
Maybe not as breathtaking of a picture as some of the previous ones, but still the feeling of being close to the heavens never goes away when I stand outside inhaling the solitude of peace while feeding my horses early in the morning.
What can I say… 1 degree right after 7 am feeding my horses in God’s backyard while he is painting the heavens!!!
